I'm back.....

So sorry I wasn't here last week to report on the AQS show.. it was wonderful all the quilts were amazing such art work... It was a busy but wonderful weekend Monday evening I came down from my high and the rest of the week I was on an emotional roller coaster... I guess after such a busy weekend then coming back to reality it was hard... so I just hid out till I could get control of myself...

Life goes on... so here is my impression of a quilting kit.... "Sweet Country Blooms"

Here you see just two of my favorite quilts..... the Indian Hatchet hangs in my front room as I love this scrappy quilt made with the 30's fabrics and as you see I add flowers to everything...

The Grandmother's flower Garden is again made with the 30's fabrics .... I have been hand piecing it for a year now and it's finally ready to go in the frame to quilt only it has to be put on the back burner as I need to make my son and his future bride a wedding quilt.... A friend asked once which was my favorite quilt and I replied.." the one I'm working on now".

Oh me Oh My....

Oh me Oh my I'm being kidnapped this weekend.... My very good friend Paula is taking me to the AQS quilt show in Paducah for the day Sat. then on Sunday I'm going to Springfield TN. to a Fabric wholesale open house with another good friend and manager of the quilt shop I work at to buy stock for the shop... Then Monday is our monthly quilting group meeting ... that's and all day affair with good friends, good food and quilting.... What you want to bet the next kit will have a quilt theme lol....By Tuesday this old nana will be ready to veg out on the sofa.....

And now "Country Elements" a new kit I designed to start a scrapbook for the GDs with their Papa...

Well you gals and guys might not be laughing at me for not knowing how to mow but the folks passing by sure are..... We have had so much rain that parts of the lawn is still under water... so to get some practice in I just mowed the high spots... Bet it look great from above LOL...

Anyway our friend and member Dawn has made some Brag Book pages for us from the "TeenyBop" kit.... Enjoy HERE... Hugs and Thanks Dawn....

"Butterflies R Free"

Been a busy week for me mostly on the phone getting info for my spouse's pension taking care of insurance and I am the care giver for my MIL who has Dementia so she take up a lot of my time... Tomorrow I work at the local quilt shop which will be great to get away for the day... This weekend I have a friend coming to service the lawn tractor and show me how to operate it... don't laugh but I have never mowed the lawn in 41 years and we have 2 acres to mow...... Well enough about me on to the kit... "Butterflies R Free" is a fun kit with lots of Butterflies and even added alphas and Numbers to have some fun with...

A couple of doodles and an overlay I think you'll like....
